Over 60 children took part in the Summer academy in Samokov in 2023. For three weeks our “travelers” studied Bulgarian and literature, mathematics, social skills and English.
The academy for “travelers” from MIR Centre-Samokov ended with an exciting adventure in “Muzeiko”.
Our “travelers” experienced the most exciting things there – they touched an eagle (not a real one) and were able to look through its eyes and find out what the expression “eagle’s eye” means, they had the chance to take a print from a fossil as old as the world, they laid roman mosaics and found out how much they would weight if they were on Mars or the Moon. Along with all of that the most curious ones learned that graphite is a conductor of electricity and did an experiment with a pencil and a lamp. The more adventurous children tried the climbing wall and “The mud garden” was an attraction for all participants.
